Why Resellers Need a Different Sheet

A casual buyer cares about total cost. A reseller cares about cost per unit, profit margin, platform fees, sell-through speed, and return rate. The same six-column beginner sheet cannot handle that complexity. You need a dashboard, not a list.

The Reseller Column Set

• Item Name and URL — same as casual tracking
• Total Landed Cost — item, domestic, international, and agent fees combined
• List Price — what you ask on your resale platform
• Platform Fee — Grailed, Depop, eBay, or your website fee as a percentage
• Net Profit — list price minus landed cost minus platform fee minus shipping to buyer
• Margin Percentage — net profit divided by landed cost
• List Date — when you posted the item
• Sold Date — when it actually sold
• Days to Sell — sold date minus list date
• Status — In Inventory, Listed, Sold, Returned

Using the Dashboard Tab

The second worksheet in the reseller template is called Dashboard. It pulls summaries from the main tracker using SUMIF and COUNTIF formulas. You see total inventory value, total profit this month, average days to sell, and return rate. These numbers tell you whether your sourcing strategy is working or needs adjustment.

Tax Season Preparation

Come tax season, your accountant needs numbers. The reseller sheet already has them. Export a CSV of the sold items, filter by date range, and you have a clean profit-and-loss summary. No scrambling through PayPal statements and screenshot folders.
